David Benavitch
David Benavitch is a retired ranger with the U.S. Forest Service, Pedlar Ranger District, George Washington National Forest. He is also an active volunteer with the Natural Bridge Appalachian Trail Club based in Lynchburg, Virginia. In 1992, he conducted an oral history with Taft Hughes, the last surviving resident of the Brown Mountain Creek Community in Amherst County, Virginia.
